The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it is actually alarmed about the substantial quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The support position made status sassa for intervention ordeals a superior inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to enable the servicing of all clients and improve access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
